Edith Wolf Perez

Edith Wolf Perez, BA, MA, was involved in the first inclusive dance projects during her dance studies at the Laban Centre and brought dance to psychiatric wards in hospitals and day centers in London. She has also worked as a cultural journalist on community dance, inclusion and health. She was co-founder and managing editor of the dance magazine tanzAffiche, which she continues to run online as the webzine tanz.at. After graduating with an M.A. from Warwick University, UK (Cultural Policy and Administration), she was a member of the editorial team of the European Journal for Cultural Policy (now: International Journal of Cultural Policy) and co-author of "Kulturpolitik und Verwaltung in Europa. 42 Insights" (Austrian Cultural Documentation, 1994). She led the workshop series at the Festival Tanz Bozen/Bolzano Danza, was a member of the advisory boards of art funding commissions in Vienna and Graz and project manager of EU projects. 

Edith is an expert in competence groups and policy committees at national and European level, a member of the Advisory Board of the Dance & Creative Wellness Foundation and a founding member and chairwoman of ARTS for HEALTH AUSTRIA. She is the editor of "Arts and Health - Austria in an International Context" (Transcript-Verlag, 2023). She was co-leader of the EU expert group (OMC Group) Culture and Health, which was set up by the European Commission in 2024. The final report "Culture and Health: Time to Act" will be published in fall 2025.
